And there were many Americans that wanted Bush to fail. Many of those same people wanted us to lose the war in Iraq so Bush could be blamed.
We are now winning the war in Iraq, but the Bush haters will never give him credit...they'll just say, "Bush lied".

I did not want bush to fail... I was just pissed when he did... I think you have the scenario a little backwards here...

We didn't Hope Bush failed we were just angry pissed and hurt by a president who constantly lied, and failed us and then it became obvious he had failed....

But I supported him in the beginning.

Winning the Iraq war???? how the hell are we winning the Iraq war??? what defines winning over there? you tell me. because I see life's being lost and no sign of an end in near, except that Obama will pull them out.

funlecat, haven't you noticed the huge reduction in the casualties over the past year? Yes, I do not like to see any lives lost, but look at the numbers of U.S. casualties over the past several years...

The sectarian violence is way down and much needed stability has been greatly accomplished.

The Iraqi parliment has just voted overwhelmingly to allow U.S. troops to remain through 2011. The majority of Iraqis want our presence there as their lives are returning to normality due to the surge and and through the cooporation of most of Iraq's local leaders.

That's not to say that there will still be an occassional suicide bomber, but things have become much more stable over the past year.

He has already failed in so many ways! He was born in Kenya! His grandmother in Kenya says she was there when he was born! I am a conservative, however, I am not in a panic mode, nor whinning like a baby.

As a fiscal conservative with moderate social views, I would never want our President to fail, regardless, of who that may be. But I do have reservations about some of his policies, as I had/have with other Presidents, including Bush. Nothing wrong with that, is there?

And, as far as your opening comment, it seems a little harsh--"bitter pieces of shit". For 8 years we have heard how bitter some Democrats have been, and still are toward George Bush. Some never gave him a chance.

Sometimes when I read posts on this site, I am dismayed. It seems as if some feel that we, Republican, Independents and Conservatives, are your mortal enemy. I really don't understand this. We are all Americans, we are all on this journey into our future--together. Not enemies, okay.

I also do not regret my vote and my sincere prayer is that Obama will be a great President.

As the Freddie and Fannie fall out was on its way as of a few years ago the dems knew it would be the perfect crucifixion for Bush. That's why they contributed money against and voted against fixing it. When it hit the fan so close to the election the timing was almost to perfect to imagine for them and was a major factor in insuring the dems victory.
Talk about slime and the lowest of the lowlife politics. They voted against it, stood by and waited for it to happen, and blamed President Bush for everything while claiming total innocence. Sounds like some of the ones in here who put there words in others mouths’.

I voted for young George 8 years ago , and supported him as President. I did so out of concerns about gun control...I didn't agree with everything the man did , and told my Congressman & Senators as much , but I always was proud of Bush Jr. for the way he helped heal our Nation after 9-11...

I don't like him and I do want him to fail but not at the cost of Americans lives. I want him to fail purely on his lack of knowledge in politics. I do not like his politics or his demeanor. He is to cocky. I like confidence and he lacks that. He will do an average to poor job in his first four years. He already had to CHANGE his mind on quite a few of his campaign policies. zoot,,,When men like Bush, have success money, women, power, They then strive for the presidency. Zoot my friend, there is only one thing left they want, one thing they cant buy, one thing that even power cant give them,,,that's a great legacy. It's the only thing they are aiming for, the only thing left to attain. Money to men like Bush means nothing. There legacy is everything. Research it, you will see I am right, however I think you know that already. You are not a Bush fan,,I am not a Obama fan. Yet I dont believe for one moment Obama wants to do us harm. He wants to go down in history as a great man. So does Bush, you may disagree with his ideas, and I with Obamas, but if you think about it, how would money make either one happier at their stage in life,,,it wouldn't. It's all about History.

I don't think it's fair to compare Obama and Bush like apples and oranges. Bush has brought our country to the level of using rendition and considered it acceptable. Obama hasn't done a damn thing yet as president and most of his nominations to office were centrist oriented. There was nothing centrist about a Bush White House,

There are alot of people here on buzz that hope Obama fails. I feel that Obama will do better than everyone thinks. There are already people on here that is bashing him because of some of his picks for his cabinet. I think he has made some good picks. He has a non partisan cabinet, with some of the best which I knew he would. Some even thinks he should start doing something right now, which we all know that we can only have one president at a time. When Jan 20 rolls around Obama will hit the ground running, he has already got things in place to do just that!!!

Many of the bloggers here on Buzzdash that voted for McCain are hoping that Obama fails. Mostly so they can feel vindicated for their loss in the election, and also because they are so party loyal that they would rather see America in the toilet with a Republican president than doing well and succeeding with a Democrat president.

There are far more than 6. They just haven't worked their way to this Blog - give them time! I'm talking from experience with many more blogs than this one from before Obama even was elected.

Courage and honesty does not change the fact that he would want our President to fail, which would be bad for the whole country - I look at that as being more selfish and cowardly.

How am I sidestepping the issue? You are trying to find something positive in his comment because you agree with him.

I was also expressing my opinion, the way I feel based on the many posts I read of gloom and doom because of the way many feel about Obama and how they have expressed themselves here.

The words above are yours not mine. I don’t see how those words or there implications can be misinterpreted. After that you said:

You accuse me now of trying to find something positive from what "Bitterwon" has said and are also suggesting that I agree with him. I never said anything of the sort. I simply stated that he had the courage to say how he felt. That has nothing to do with your interpretation of what he means.

If you wrote your above expression in the beginning of your 1st post we probably would not be discussing this right now.

First of all, you have no way of determining whether what I said is close to the truth or not unless you ask every Buzzdash blogger that voted for McCain the question.

You don't have to say you agree with someone for the implication to be there. That you are defending his comment says it all.

That he wants the President to fail is his response to the Blog. He was being honest, and you think that is courageous? Isn't that in your opinion a positive, from your perspective?

If I have to explain my posts so that they agree with your way of thinking, maybe you need to quit reading my posts! And, I still don't understand your whole response. How in the hell did I misrepresent myself?

Your convoluted explanation of my opinion and his opinion and what was said and not said is truly meaningless. You are just arguing for the sake of arguing and not really making much sense.

When Bitterwon posted whatever it was he wanted to say, for better or for worse he would have to take the consequences for his actions and his words. Not your words or anyone else’s, just his own. You are a Republican aren't you? You seem to be very adept at spinning everything to try and prove your point. You still haven't told me how I misrepresented things. You keep telling me I did, but you can't give me any specifics.

So are you trying to say that your comments are always researched and verified to be the absolute indisputable truth? Even your opinions? That you have never made an assumption based on comments made at different times? What a bunch of BS.

And, I didn't base my comment on 6 votes. That is your own opinion. I just mentioned the six votes because you were insinuating that I had no backing. Even it had been just one thumbs up is indicative that I wasn't making it up.

What the heck are you talking about "have to take the consequences for his actions and his words"? There are no consequences. Nobody is going to jump out of his computer and hit him on the head for saying what he said.

Hi Hill, hadn't heard from you in a while. I had a great Thanksgiving. The turkey was good, the wine was warming and it all happened too fast. Now comes Christmas! Hope yours was enjoyable too.

Yes the Democrats have been rooting for our failure in IRaq all along, and all for their political gain, but that shows their selfishness and that they really are not good people at all.

I still hope for the success of this nation, no matter who is president.

I will say that since the media created him and got him elected, and that is all he has really. If they do turn on him for onw reason or another, since all he is is a media phenomenon, he will be screwed. Maybe that is why he is trying to scilence them.

It's really sad that some people want our President-Elect to fail...Just because he wasn't their first choice....Why can't people give the man a chance.
If a President fails...That will make it harder on you/us.....Is that what you want.....Take notes from the fail Bush years. Bush failed us and now were paying the price. wake up and support your President Elect. He can only make thing better.
If you can't accept Obama....Well you can always leave the U.S.
