The USPS runs at a loss to the American taxpayers every year.. $2.8 billion in 2008.. even with their government provided monopoly over 1st class delivery. As efficient as they may be at delivering mail, private industry could do it just as well at absoluetly no cost to the taxpayers.

I have had alot of trouble with them. Once i moved, across the street, it was still the same route, I sent in 2 change of address cards they and still couldn't find me.

100% RG, I GIVE THEM. THEY HAVE NEVER LOST A THING, 4 ME. IF YOU HAD TO BE A MAILMAN, I'M SURE YOU WOULD NOT BE AS EFFICIENT AS SONNY FECK! HE MAYBE MY COUSIN. BUT I'LL PUT HIM AGAINST ANY MAIL MEN/WO-MAN. I'M SURE HE WOULD NOT RATE HIMSELF AS HIGHLY, BUT THAT IS JUST BECAUSE HE HAS DELIVERED MAIL, AT LEAST NO LONGER THAN, MESTHULAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know a man who works for the P.O., yes it is a UNION. He missed more days than he worked, got canned 3 times, took it to the union and threatened and kept his job everytime......of course, our tax dollars pay for it.....how efficient is it, when they (the u.s.p.s.) have multimillion dollar homes sitting empty, they 'forgot' they owned????(yep, we paid for them with our tax dollars)

They are phenominal. As an ebayer, they have never failed me and sometimes exceeded my expectations! Go USPS!

Out of all the years I have been using the postal service my mail has only been lost twice. Granted once was air lines tickets because I didn't print an e-ticket. I had to pay an extra hundred dollars to get another ticket. Then a wedding invitation was lost. Out side of that I am good with the US Postal Service.
