there needs to be a "check and balance" within our government and the system of politics that are played in the American agenda. We don't want a lopsided mindset in America.

The more debate and partisanship we have in Washington, the better.

The general ruck would like nothing better then to trample the constitution and so the elected officials are supported in this. Most people want themselves to be immune and other people to be subject to the law heavily. They don't really think beyond that.

The duopoly of just two political parties dominating our government and the entire political process as a whole is the opposite of balance and is a sad mockery of a true Republican form of government and the Democratic process by which we choose our leaders.

Party affiliation matters little unless they collude to evade and eviscerate the Constitution for their own ends. What we need are office-holders willing to take their oath seriously and fellow politicians willing to hold them to it. The American public deserves much of the blame for not insisting their elected representatives stay within the law.

Well said. If any of our Congressmen should ever cast a vote in opposition of our Constitution they should be immediately removed from office and face lawful prosecution. That is to say, only a few of the current standing Congressmen and women should still hold their offices... maybe even less than a few.
