Infrastructure is a blue collar job. Technology is a white collar job. It's a win win situation for all.

Not if you're developing a new VHS player. The government is pretty bad at picking the winning technology, look at the ethanol debacle; It's best to let the market and entrepreneurs determine what the next tech is, and have the government provide a (gentle!) nudge if needed.

Obama's job creation program will go something like this:

hire a group of people to dig a big hole and another group of people to fill it in. Both groups have jobs and get paid - yeah!

If you dislike the internet so much, why are you online so often? Do they not keep you busy at work? Wish I had your job, I could sit on my duff, playing games online all day and get paid a good wage for not doing the job I was hired for.
Obama is no idiot. He will do fine as president. It may take a few yrs to fix what those before him screwed up, but I am sure he will do what is best for this country.

Yes those jobs are suppose to be paid by the the taxes that we pay but as we can all see our bridges, roads, buildings and such are in big disrepair. It is obvious that the money that WAS there for all of that was used on other things such as private jets, vacations for rich politicians, money to big companys that do not really need it. If this money was used for what it is suppose to be used for we would have more jobs and better infrastructure. It is not just coming up with the money to do these things that is the issue it is also putting the money that we pay in taxes where it is supposed to go and not else where like the politicians do all of the time.

States are already drawing taxes, licence, licence plate fees and participating in state run lotteries to perform infastructure, as well as fees for public transportation systems. And alternative energy tech is not something we can put off any longer, and can offer a huge market not only here at home, but globally. We are already behind the curve, we need to do some fast catchup.

I'm all for it!! I'm just confused as to how he can do that at the same time as he's raising business taxes.
