The Victory statue was one of Hitlers favorite. He had it moved to where it is today. Where Obama chose to speak.

Republicans go to Europe and they burn our flag.

Barack Obama goes to Europe and they wave our flag.

Enough said.

Europe wants Obama to be president because that is where all of our jobs are going to go if Obama becomes president, and he will cripple our economy so bad that they will take over ars the world superpower.

He can't cripple our economy any more than Bush did. Bush is the one who sent all our jobs overseas so don't go placing blame one the innocent.

Actually that is not true. Clinton's tax raises in 1997 Made some move over seas, but besides that no policies that bush implemented made it easier or more desireable to go over seas. If anything Bush made investment here look more appealing for other countries.

Senator Obama is an idiot and a inexperienced conartist who is using the left wing media to futher his political expediency. This trip to the middle east is proof of his flip flop agenda. When are we to have a real person run for office?

At least he knows where Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan are.

At least he knows that Czechoslovakia stopped being a country about 10 years ago.

At least he knows that Iranians are Shia and Saudis are Sunnis.

That is more than we can say about John McInsane.

he just thinks that there are 57 states, and is completely oblivious to everything and everyone around him. He did not know that Wright was racist. he completely missed it.

He can not even remember his own side on and issue, or keep his llies straight.

It's opening the eyes of Americans to just how arrogant and presumptive this excuse for a candidate can be. He is "playing president" on foreign soil, which can be a dangerous game given his novice status on foreign policy. He is blatantly using our tax dollars to campaign and feed his already overweight ego. He's an embarrassment to us all!

I don't get it. McCain urged Obama to go to Iraq and check things out...And now McCain and his followers want to call it a photo opt. You people are unbeliveable. McCain is jealous because Obama getting alot of attention on his trip over seas.. and no one paid McCain no attention when he went to Iraq..And with Obama's popularity... McCain tried to capitalize on Obama popularity by offering to go with Obama to Iraq. (Thank god Obama turned him down) So if anyone is trying to make the news or photo opt. IT'S JOHN MCCAIN
McCain would have loved to have taken this trip with Obama...just to have a little bit of attention. It was the right move for Obama. No matter how things look in iraq..Obama will still pull our troops out. and i'm all for it.

The problem is not that he's taken up the challenge to go to Iraq... it's that he's taking taxpayer dollars and campaigning instead of going on a fact finding mission. He's talking like he's already president/rock star.

Really, what campaign events has he held?

So far he has met with the heads of Afghanistan and Iraq. He has played basketball with the troops (sinking one hell of a basket).

But I have not seen any grandstanding.

What has happened is that he has turned out to be right on withdrawal from Iraq and on the need to focus on Afghanistan.

Watching McCain is like watching Get Smart - "Would you believe, McCain thought of withdrawal first?" "Would you believe, McCain thought of reinforcements to Afghanistan first?" Would you believe McCain thought of finding bin Laden first?" "Would you believe.....?"

And, yes, Barack Obama already is acting much more like a President than either Bush or McCain.

Did you hear McCain talking yesterday about the problem on the Iraqi/Pakistan border?

Did you hear McCain talking the other day about Czechoslovakia?

Somebody give that man a geography lesson.

For starters, covering over the American flag on his plane with the Obama "rising sun" Logo and the hopey-changey phrase emblazoned across the side. The whole thing is nothing but campaign hype from the paint job on the plane to the MSM media throng he has drooling over him. It's a big overdose of kool-aide in a global sized cup!

Naaahhhh.... the big "0" wouldn't use a taxpayer funded trip to campaign overseas....

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/07/24/obama.trip/index.html?eref=ib_topstories
Obama played down suggestions he was delivering a campaign speech but conceded that his performance was intended as much for an American audience as for the gathering German crowds............
But use of the landmark was apparently vetoed by Merkel, who a spokesman Wednesday said disapproved of plans to co-opt it as a "campaign backdrop."

And the FARCE continues!

Overseas do not vote for our President. So what he is vacationing there, now? He should have went long ago. So the impact, is only on ABC, CBS, and NBC. And the 300 'journalists', actually paparazzi, with him.

Backlash: Wall Street Downgrades Big 3 Networks' Stock From "News" to "Paparazzi"
Monday, July 21, 2008 12:27:05 PM
Wall Street analysts late yesterday downgraded the stock of ABC, NBC, and CBS to "Paparazzi" status in light of the widespread perception that in covering presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama's trip to Europe and the Middle East, that they had lost a substantial amount of objectivity and were instead focusing more on the candidate's image and star power.

I think Obama did the right thing by making this visit. This is what McCain and repubs wanted him to do and urged him to do it. Obama did it, now the repubs are mad because Obama is favored here and abroad, the Iraqi PM and others in government over there agree with Obama, President Bush is changing his stance on things. What McCain wanted to happen just didn't and wish he would have stayed out it, but it's too late now. We need a president that believes in democracy and peace. Obama is that man. He has enough experience to run this country. Bush had good experience and it got us no where. Kill the experience line, it's not going to work. Obama for President!

I agree with scott. This trip is nothing more than a photo opt. Wish I could understand why so many are so enamored with Obama. This guy comes out of no where and will probably be the next president of the US. I don't see how this can be happening. He has no experience and he should not be in this position. Even Europe wants him to win. Why do they even care? We as a country are making a huge mistake.

Well, for someone with no experience, he certainly has done marvelously well at understanding the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan.

McCain made big deal about how often he has been to Iraq (ignoring the massive military presence he has to take with him just to take a walk), and blasting Obama for not having been recently enough.

So now Obama has gone to Iraq and Afghanistan and held talks with the leaders there. In both cases Obama has turned out to have a better understanding of the situation on the ground than either McCain or Bush.

McCain is as big a fool as Bush. A fool with experience is just an old fool.

Obama is appearing more and more presidential every day.

By the way, this guy with no experience just beat your candidate who was backed by one of the most massive and efficient political machines in American history. Now he is doing to the Rove/Republican machine what he did to the Clinton machine.

Again Lin....stop being such a defeatist. He is not even officially the nominee, the GE is NOT over. We do NOT have to let this guy hijack America. We still have a vote. Make your voice heard if you don't want him as pres. So do your part to make sure it's a landslide victory for McCain in November, that will make it more difficult for the DNC to pull any underhanded tricks.

Obama neededs to bolster confidence of independents that he knows what he is talking about concerning the mid east. Most people I know who are not far left are concerned about his apparent lack of knowledge. (though of course nothing is for certain, we dont have much of a record to go on for this guy. We sould have a better idea of who he is in 4 to 8 years. I wish they hadn't shoved him on us now. I have to vote against him out of caution.)
