If Palin did so well, why has the Mcpalin campaign taken the sleaze road since then.

Sarah Palin is one of the dirtiest, most sleazy politicians in modern history. Do you think McCain just picked her because of her blow jobs? She doesn't seem to have any other talents.

Sarah Palin is scum.

The truth isn't sleezy! Check out www.obamacrimes.com then you can talk about sleezy. He will not prove he is a us citizen. He has produced two forged birth certificates. His sister says he was born in Kenya and there are no medical records of him being born in the u.s.

Not to comment on alleged crimes of any of teh candidates, but Obama's mother was born in Kansas, making him a natural US citizen.

If you really choose to push the argument that he was not born within the US on US soil, then make a case for McCain.

The follwoing is a clip from Wikipedia.

John McCain, who ran for the Republican party nomination in 2000 and is the Republican nominee in 2008, was born at the Coco Solo U.S. military base in the Panama Canal Zone to U.S. parents. Although the Panama Canal Zone was not considered to be part of the United States,[6] federal law states: "Any person born in the Canal Zone on or after February 26, 1904, and whether before or after the effective date of this chapter, whose father or mother or both at the time of the birth of such person was or is a citizen of the United States, is declared to be a citizen of the United States."[7] The law that conferred this status took effect on August 4, 1937, one year after John McCain was born — albeit with retroactive effect, resulting in McCain being declared a U.S. citizen.[8]

Since you don't want to look for yourself Here you go:
36. Obama is a representative of the Democratic People. However, Obama must meet the Qualifications specified for the United States Office of the President, which he must be a “natural born” citizen. Additionally, Obama must be at least a “naturalized” citizen to hold his Office of U.S. Senator for Illinois. Unfortunately, Obama is not a “natural born” citizen, nor is he a “naturalized” citizen. Just to name one of the problems, Obama lost his U.S. citizenship when his mother married an Indonesian citizen, Lolo Soetoro who legally “acknowledged” Obama as his son in Indonesia and/or “adopted” Obama, which caused Obama to become a “natural” Indonesian citizen. Stanley Ann Dunham Soetoro relocated herself and Obama to Indonesia wherein Obama’s mother naturalized in Indonesia. This is proven by Obama’s school record with the student’s name as “Barry Soetoro”, Father’s name: Lolo Soetoro, M.A., and Citizenship: Indonesia.

37. There appears to be no question that Defendant Obama’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was a U.S. citizen. It is also undisputed, however, that his father, Barack Obama, Sr., was a citizen of Kenya. Obama’s parents, according to divorce records, were married on or about February 2, 1961.

38. Defendant Obama claims he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961 and it is uncertain in which hospital he claims to have been born. Obama’s grandmother on his father’s side, his half-brother and half-sister all claim Obama was born not in Hawaii but in Kenya. Reports reflect that Obama’s mother traveled to Kenya during her pregnancy; however, she was prevented from boarding a flight from Kenya to Hawaii at her late stage of pregnancy (which, apparently, was a normal restriction, to avoid births during a flight). By these reports, Stanley Ann Dunham Obama gave birth to Obama in Kenya, after which she flew home and registered Obama’s birth. There are records of a “registry of birth” for Obama, on or about August 8, 1961 in the public records office in Hawaii.

You are both being rediculous. Being born on a military base makes it US Soverign territory. This makes McCain a citizen.

I am quite sure Obama was born in Hawaii or he would have been disqualified for the presidency by now.

Don't get your facts from hate Obama or hate McCain websites. It just looks rediculous.

1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama
to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT
VOTE THAT WAY.

2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack
Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud
Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden
attacked him for it.

3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, “Drill we must.” But Biden has
opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to
“raping” the Outer Continental Shelf.”

4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain
and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the
field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the
President of the United States had already said he would veto
regardless of it’s passage.

5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal,
but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal
plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and
coal in the U.S. Senate.

6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is
exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for
alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.

7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on
people’s health insurance coverage — they get a tax credit to offset
any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is
false

8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits
tax in Alaska — she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it’s not
a windfall profits tax.

9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top
military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not
be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO’s International
Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were
principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that
could be applied in Afghanistan.

10. REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation — he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.

11. IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was
“dead wrong on Iraq”, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to
authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John
McCain has been proven right.

12. TAX INCREASES: Biden said Americans earning less than $250,000
wouldn’t see higher taxes, but the Obama-Biden tax plan would raise
taxes on individuals making $200,000 or more.

13. BAILOUT: Biden said the economic rescue legislation matches the
four principles that Obama laid out, but in reality it doesn’t meet two
of the four principles that Obama outlined on Sept. 19, which were that
it include an emergency economic stimulus package, and that it be part
of “part of a globally coordinated effort with our partners in the
G-20.”

14. REAGAN TAX RATES: Biden is wrong in saying that under Obama,
Americans won’t pay any more in taxes then they did under Reagan.

Matertua, it's at 43% (McCain), 49% (Obama).

Because of the silent majority in America, anything could happen I would not get too confident. I still think Acorn is going to sway votes for Obama with voter fraud.

As I've said before you do have to be careful taking polls as fact, they simply are not.

Take Nebraska for example since you want to use Michigan as proof. See my nickname Heartland? I'll let you guess what state I'm in. And the news is saying my state is iffy at the moment, I can tell you it is not iffy. Unless Acorn has something up their sleeve, the voters here are leaning towards McCain. Sorry to burst your little bubble.

It's very simple if strip away all the words, all the talk, facts and "mis-facts"...Palin talked to the camera, to the American people. Biden talked to the Moderator. One of the candidates told the truth and had no issue with facing the camera directly. The other candidate, though polished and strong, very rarely faced the camera.

Honestly, it doesn't matter what one candidate promises over another. I have been through enough elections and Presidents to understand that they will never be able to make good on their promises. With this in mind, what America needs is a truth-teller. The People of this great country can and will still lead, but we have to have a President/Vice-President we can believe in.

Out of the two debates so far, of the four candidates, Palin is the only one I have believed.

Giacomino, I'm so glad you brought up SNL. Read the history on SNL. The younger generation is not aware of the many articles written over the decades on their chauvinism. They are actually very well known for it (read history baby, read). The show has a 'history' of it. A well documented history. As for Tina Fey, she has made comments on how she hates Palin and wants everyone to vote against her so that she doesn't have to play 'this woman' anymore. That's bias from the creator. Also you can read how the Obama camp actually helped the SNL staff with tips on how Palin should be portrayed. Open your eyes. They were counting on Americans to be biased, stupid and easily swayed by a skit. So that now when you listen to Palin you'll believe the bias SNL planted. And you'll believe it because you are desperate to have something to attack with. Let's fact it, take away SNL and you got nothing. However Palin supporters have tons of material that have come straight out of Obama's mouth. Starting with socialism. (A real issue).

so I can leave a post on this question but am locked out of the Dems being the party of Death...very interesting.

Palin creamed Biden...why does the country want to be governed by a candidate that wants to raise taxes, allow babies to starve to death if mother does not want the newborn, take away our freedom of speech, take away our right to bear arms [some of our people hunt to eat] to defend our selves against those who can obtain guns with or without permission, take away our right to go or not to go to church....because he is charismatic? So was Hitler! I was for this candidate until I looked into his voting record and his stance - see above.
As to Palin not knowing what she was talking about - were you watching the debate or the spoof....or did you just read the papers which are biased?

The problem with Palin being "folksy" is that it is blatant attempt to appeal to the stereotype that Repubs have for middle class Americans.

In Palin's case the folksiness is nothing to do with understanding of policy issues, or intellectual curiosity, and is everything to do with a political opportunist strategizing a path into the White House. If you don't understand complex issues, oversimplify them and sound like you are the proverbial (and non existent) Joe Six Pack - Repubs/ThoCons think this is all that is necessary to win the election. Of course, GW Bush is a carbon copy example of this same thinking - some one you would like to have a beer with - look what he has brought us.

No one believes Palin is stupid. Many believe she is a dangerous opportunist, whose real stand on policy issues are so extreme that they would not be supported by anyone who is not ripe to be on the path toward Fascism

For my self, she scares me. I see someone who is an obvious manipulator, someone who is an opportunist, someone, who if you knew her, you would know to watch your back, someone who would think the constitution is merely a connivence to be ignored in favor of a higher religious authority - her particular religious authority.

If you took the time to review her statements and were honest with yourself, you will see she has said almost nothing about policy she would advocate and has presented her real beliefs as somehow being more tolerant than they are.

Apparently you have no clue what the meaning of Fascism is. Why don't you try researching it before you say it? Obama thinks he is Robin Hood. He is starting Class warfare. I know under Obama you will not have to earn a living he will just take from somebody else and give it to you. By the way it was Biden who was acting non existant.

In the context of my comment - fascism is the co-mingling of corporate power with extreme nationalism. It creates the sense of if you aint with us, you are the enemy. As you imply your comment, the sort of fascism I am referring to is represented by "if you don't believe what I do, then you are un-American, un-patriotic and should be treat as a dangerous person. The problem with most who are ripe for fascism, is they are the last to know it.

Not only is she ready to be the V.P, but she is ready to be President and lead if need be. If you read your history books there was another President who was received press in his time similar to Palin. His name was Lincoln. No Palin is not a polished politician. Neither was Lincoln. Where Joe is an experienced politician he may have won the debate with his polish. However Palin won our hearts. That not only makes her the winner, but a very rare candidate. If and when she needs to lead as President, I believe she will be genuine, honest and fight for the middle class. The very first choice John McCain has made is to give us someone who understands and will fight with him for the middle class. Obama gave us the same old same old. In fact, during the debate with Biden, watch the furrowed brow we got, not to mention he that finger shake (two times). I cringed. Now, I'd much rather have a wink then a finger shake.

Right, the problem was Lincoln was brilliant and very well educated, kind of like Obama.

Sarah was great and gave me confidence in her ethical convictions and leadership abilities.

I must say I am very disheartened that our expectations of women in high office are so low that even Palin's side complimented her on looking straight into the camera instead of at her opponent, smiling broadly and winking at us. Hillary, on the other hand, was criticized for trying to be a man in a woman’s pantsuit. I could go on but will not, lest you think me too argumentative. But I do think it is sad to get to my age in the United States of America and still see glass ceilings for women so intact in business, politics, and perceptions of ability to lead. And this was simply affirmed by folks who said their expectations were that Sarah could really mess up and she didn’t. That to me is a very back-handed compliment and not worthy of our belief in the ability of women to lead, to make good judgments, to utilize diplomacy rather than an attack mode in conflict resolution, and to be perceived as able to stand toe-to-toe with each other and with men, no matter what the subject matter and no matter what office or position is at stake.

Some of the polls I referenced are not online polls, but opinion polls conducted by media and other polling groups. A computer is not necessary, but living in the country is since it's easy enough to know where you're calling from the area code. I don't think a poll of any sort is an exact representation, but I believe it shows what way the wind is blowing, especially when every singe one says the same thing.

If the tables were turned, and Palin had said all the gaffs that Biden had last night, instead of talking about how impressive she was, as they are doing today, we'd be talking about whether or not McCain should be keeping her on the ticket. Biden doesn't even know the role of a Vice President. Catch that? Oh, he also said that the US and France kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon. Not! It was Syria. I'm serious, if you Kool-Aid drinkers had heard that, your heads would be spinning circles and you'd be projectile vomitting anti-Palin vitriol!

She didn't fall down and crap her pants like we all expected, but this is a vice-presidential debate, not some B rated disney movie.

She shouldn't even be on stage with Joe Biden

Fluid: I am sure your name is short for ex-lax. You are full of it. Did you even go to school. Sarah Palin is incredible and the people who don't see it have to be jealous or mentally defective. Sorry, but it's just obvious for anyone with the ability to see clearly that she is fabulous. All you critics could never do what she has done. That's all right though, looks like a lot of people are going for the communist.

When she hadn't rehearsed the answer she was silent. Her grasp of deeper ifo was lacking. Evreything she stated was the typical rhetoric given on the stump, her foreighn policy knoowledge was limited , with only basic information. Stop kidding yourself.

Treydot if you want to see scary perhaps you should look at the front runner on the Osama/Biden, opps Obama/Biden ticket. The man is a socialist who didn't get our attention on his own merit, we heard about him thru a talk show host, a very popular talk show host, who apparently can now pick our Presidents by suggestion. Scary is a socialist gaining control of this country because America is desperate for an Afrian American President. The man is an airhead, most of his early rearing was done in a country with poor education. His teenage years were in Hawaii (wow that's rough), and apparently wasn't quite sure how many states we had. A pho-pha you would have butchered Palin over. Listen to candidate on your own ticket, he's appalling. So you decide to bash an honest person like Palin... slight of hand to take the eyes off the incompetent you are backing...

Heatland, even the most casual observation of Obama contradicts what you have said. When I see screen names such as yours, and others eqaully sanctimonious , it conveys the notion that you think your political beliefs are correct and others, who disagree with youmust be unpatriotic and unAmerican. Heartland, you do not exclusively speak for what is American or what it is to be American.

When I read comments such as yours, I often jokingly call for the deprogramming squad as your words are rift with error, misinformation and distortions that one would get only if you truly believe the trifecta of the lying liar Limbaughs, Hannities and O'Rielly's of the far right TheoCon propaganda noise machine. I have left Michael Savage out only because I am being kind. Stop sliding the country toward ideological fascism and stop buying into the lies of the extreme right.

While I doubt you understand much about socialism, or even what it is, I can only assume you are against Social Security, Medicaid, TANF and any program that protects the health of children and would have love haveo seen social security privatized so that our many retired Seniors would now be benefiting by the current economic fruits of Republican idealogy and more golden parachutes could have bee created for executives bailing out from their responsibilities

You people forget he was running for president and told everyone then what his policies would be. I know overlook that little fact as it does not help Obama. You accuse the governor of reading off of cards. She was doing the same thing Biden was doing taking notes to respond from. She looked at the audience and really tried to connect with Americans. I was not impressed. She's a smart lady, but not ready to be VP. I'm even more convinced now than I was before. Rebublicans are satified because she didn't gaffe, after having so many bad interviews, so in their eyes she did great. Biden did an awesome job because he knows what he's talking about. He knows what's going here and abroad and spoke to the Amercan people, not one gaffe, not one sarcastic remark to Palin. He was a pro in every aspect of the word. Oh wait it is coming to me. If the media tells me so it must be true. The funny thing to me is the woman you are calling unqualified is running for VP when your candidate who is running for President has always voted present on an issues that have meaning.

Biden answered the questions thoroughly and intellectually and addressed the people.
Palin then just agreed or disagreed then repeated key words Biden had spoken. Or she gave memorized canned responses and had to keep looking down to check her notes.

Biden had intellect, professionalism and substance, Palin had no substance and was amateurish and repeatative.

Admittedly, Palin was better than in recent interviews, but several times, she dod not answer the question.

Early in the debate her voice shook and she was visibly scared, but I do not fault her there.

I do fault her on substance. Palin may well be qualified to run A State that has about 600,000 people, maybe even a more populous state, but she is not ready for prime time and certainly not ready to be VP or President.

Biden was on task and always answered the question at hand, often with very specific style, like point 1, point 2 and so forth.

Did this sway the election? no

Did Palin please the base? Probably

Did Palin move independents? no

Did Biden move some independents? Yes. some.

Biden won comfortably and McCain continues to be in real trouble.

If the numbers are like this in the polls by mid-week next week. It is over for him. most likely.

Garcigar your post was laughable. Palin was visibly scared? I think it is you who needs to re-watch the debate. Palin is not scared and neither or her supporters.

As for the other person who made the comment that Republicans vote Republican no matter what, I think you need a reality check. I am a registered Republican and I was going to vote for Hillary. It's the Dem's who only vote one way no matter what. Your party made a big mistake (referring to your super delegates, as Clinton actually had the popular vote if you count the two states they conveniently removed). Clinton told you all straight out, Obama will not beat McCain. She was right. McCain is strong. However as a Republican I was willing to vote Dem with Clinton. Get your facts straight on Republicans (the party of Lincoln). Why then would I not vote for Obama? I will never vote for a socialist. Apparently Dem's are so loyal to their party, they would sell out democracy to have their candidate voted in. That's just sad.

Biden listened to the questions and answered the questions.

Palin heard key words in the questions and then gave canned speeches that contained related words.

When the question was about when it could be appropriate for the US to use nuclear weapons, Palin gave a two minute memorized sound byte on Iran.

When asked about their weaknesses, Palin gave a two minute canned pep talk about hockey moms and being mayor of Wasilla.

Palin is nothing more than a wind-up toy.

I couldn't find a single poll that said Palin won. I checked on the Fox News site twice and both times it said Biden won. I just went to check again this minute and "there was an error retrieving your results". So, please direct me to a poll that says Palin won. I'd be interested in seeing it.

Materiua, okay, I'll stop laughing at you. You do realize non-voters in other countries can vote on the polls? They can't vote and feel helpless to sway us. The world would love to sway us to be their puppet. It's up to us to do what's best for our country who will in turn do what is best on the world stage. But it is 'we the people of the United States of America that actually vote our President'. However anyone in the world can vote on a poll. Also, not everyone did vote on the polls, to think they did is, well... stupid.

Best Quote of the Night:

"Throughout the entire 90-minute debate, Palin came across as an over-wound windup doll, sporting a pasted-on-smile expression that never varied, except when she winked. Which she did repeatedly -- and pathetically. It was the folksiest appearance since Hee-Haw went off the air."" ..and

"After watching this debate, I am convinced that if the country somehow has a collective mental meltdown and elects Sarah Palin, she will be even more dangerous than Cheney. Not only does she want more power for herself than the Constitution grants -- or than Cheney took for himself -- but she is so obviously not equipped to be a heartbeat away from the presidency, it takes your breath away that McCain picked her. He claims to be putting his country first, but the debate proved beyond any doubt that he has actually chosen to put his country on the betting line and roll the dice. And they've come up snake eyes."

In fact they can be far from the actual truth. The polls on this are about as good as closing your eyes and wishing real hard. You should try that, it would probably serve you better then believing the polls will save your point of view.

But dang nab it, she did steer away from answering very adroitly. She did keep a smile going, as well as throwing out those winks between not becoming confused under the weight of not giving an answer, and she did eventually stop talking about her pipeline that was started back in the late 60's and 70's.
Does she know what alternative energy means? Or how much of the dollars made from those pipelines go to relieving the tax burden on taxpayers or to funding the pipeline cost or on keeping down the price of gas, all the reasons given for starting the pipeline and drilling contracts in the first place.
As much time as she spent on her energy experience I never did hear any factual answers on how she was addressing any of these issues of concerns that voters are still awaiting answers to. Its pretty simple reasoning to understand why so many of us are against her "drill baby, drill" platform, when none of the benefits for drilling has happened for us the taxpayers and public owners of the land these drills sit on.

The person who wants to give the rich more tax breaks on top of the Bush Tax Cuts when this nation is approaching $10 trillion of debt? I could go on and on. McCain may have experience but he makes bad decisions. His picking Palin as his VP is proof of that.

Ms Palin did very well in the eyes of her supporters because they had such low expectations to begin with!
Did she faint? No.
Did she run crying from the stage? No.
That equals success for those who were rather nervous about her upcoming performance.

So much stock in the polls my dear. Many people were watching with their spouses or friends. I watched with my spouse, we both thought Palin won. We were engaged in conversation, watching news, talking during commercials. So there we sit and the media starts saying Biden won because Obama-wannas have attacked the polls. I think many like myself and my husband were simply not going to do 'poll duty'. It's going to take alot more then attacking polls for Obama to win. He needs a majority vote on election day at the polls. Those taking stock in the polls show their lack of intelligent thought that not everyone headed over desperately to the polls. It also shows how insecure Obama-wannas are. Ever heard of the silent majority?

It is OK we are ready for the liberal Kool Aid. She was completely scripted it was all set up for her by McCain. Actually she just went out there and was herself. Both could have done better as she passed up some great attack points. Biden is going to look like a fool if the media actually digs into his campaign when he was running for President. Bashing Obama for things he praises him for now...hypocritical? That is if the media actually does their damn job as we all know they probably will not. If they don't do their job it will be Obama 08. Palin went out and stood on her principles.

While Palin revealed a better side from the notorious Couric and Gibson interviews over the past several weeks, she still came across as heavily scripted - piping at every opportunity the McCain campaign talking points, sometimes inappropriately - and not on the game for the VEEP's office, not to mention the Presidency. Her forced folksiness (What was with the winking..?) was somewhat of a put-off. Overall, though, she was OK. But, Biden was really tight and in command from the beginning.

I thought Palin really lost a chance to earn good points following Biden's description (properly emotional) of rearing his children as a single parent following the tragic loss of his first wife and daughter. Instead of commiseration with him - which would have been the appropriate response, she launched yet again the incessant, and by this time, tiresome repetition of McCain campaign talking points. A real muff. She came across as pretty cold there.

The last thing which was a put-off were the repeated lies about Obama's tax plan ("He's gonna raise 'em.) and his "vote against supplying the troops." One would think that, having been called out by both liberal and conservative media on these, and sustaining real political damage as a result, the McCain campaign would have stowed them away for good.

Yes, see we have something called a "primary" election. Biden was running against Obama and trying to contrast his expertise with Obama's. But Obama won and then picked Biden to be his running mate. So now, Biden's main job is to get Obama and himself elected. So it is natural for him to talk about Obama, just as it was natural for Palin to talk about McCain. Of course, the way that Palin talked about McCain was totally unnatural, over-rehearsed and scripted. She was like a puppet.

I completely agree. She definitely exceeded expectations and spoke well, but still sounded like she was drawing from a limited pool of facts that she memorized.

kk8, sure they don't know the exact questions, but it's obvious what major issues will be covered during the debates. There's definitely coaching & rehearsing involved. That's not even a question.

casper: On the issue of honesty, as with any political debate, both candidates twist facts and exaggerate and misrepresent each other. That's the nature of the game, and it is hardly one-sided. It's both unfair and irrational to take up the "Biden is so dishonest, thank god that pure truthful Palin caught him in every lie!" stance. Here's proof that they BOTH weren't completely honest during the debates:

http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/factchecking_biden-palin_debate.html

So credit where credit is due; Palin did a great job handling herself during the debates, especially as a newcomer. But I just think it was obvious that Biden was more concrete in his answers and didn't skirt the questions as much. And it was also obvious to me that Biden just knew much much more about most things than Palin, because she was very good at changing the question into topics that she was comfortable talking about.

I never said that Biden is so dishonest and her word was gold. I said neither one is perfect and yes it is the game. What I find comical about Obama/Biden is Biden was againest Obama just 8 months ago and now is his running mate. Can you say easily swayed? I don't think that is a great quality in a presdiential/vp hopeful! Don't get me wrong I do believe you should give ground when you are proven wrong but to go so far to the other side. Biden thought Obama was a dagerous choice for a presdetial canidate 8 - 10 months ago.

Really? Wow. Well Obama strikes me as an underwear model who was lucky enough to get Oprah to recommend him for President. And his non-answers reflect his air-head status with me, except of course when he's been prepped to tell us what we want to hear.

(Heartland is an actual American who will be voting).

DUMB!! Your an ass. Let's just say for the sake of argument that even if she wasn't sure about everything before her three day lesson. Do you think she's a quick learner, or what? Come on she could whip the shit out of most of us in a day! She will learn everything she needs to know in let's say 6 months in office with McCain.

The day McCain is elected is the day we know that this country is behind in education. The fact that anyone thinks she won the debate just shows how many dolts there are in this country.

Biden clearly won the debate and gave good answers. Palin didn't answer the questions and admits she has only been at this for 5 weeks.

Anybody else notice how often Biden spoke out of turn and interrupted the moderator to respond when a response wasn't called for by the moderator? Palin didn't do that, she followed the rules of the debate.

I'm sure had Palin been allowed to respond to Biden's articulated disruptions, he would have gotten an earful.

swingberg68, you hit the nail on the head. She did not answer any questions to the point as Joe did. Yes she had a set of notes on the issue and yes she new what issues the questions were going to be about. pail-in just kept rambling instead of answering the questions, but I will say she did better than the Curic interview. They still have no chance of winning Nov. 4, this debate changed nothing. Obama/Biden in 08!!!

Most people are 'proud' of the state they are from, so why does Ms Palins pride in Alaska make her 'totally awesome' and if I disagree with you does that make me a sexiest piece of crap too?

The sexist comment referred to the "Queen" comment, I haven't heard anyone say that Biden should run for "King" of Delaware have you? So, its not because you disagree idiot. It was sexist to say queen in the first place.

That is the second time I have seen you say 'sexiest.' Sexiest means the most sexy not an adjective describing people who discriminate people for their sex. I think the word you want is 'sexist' but I guess you are too stupid to understand what the difference is.

Okay.

IFILL: Governor, please if you want to respond to what he said about Senator McCain's comments about health care?

PALIN: I would like to respond about the tax increases.

IFILL: Would you like to have an opportunity to answer that before we move on?

PALIN: I'm still on the tax thing because I want to correct you on that again.

And I may not answer the questions that either the moderator or you want to hear

What is a debate for but to answer questions?

You see matertua, you don't know what your talking about. That is not an example at all, because that was just the moderator asking Palin if she wanted to rebutt. That was not ifill asking her the actual question. Your just upset that she was trying to put old johnny boy in his place.
